The Anaheim Community Foundation is dedicated to providing and improving programs, services, and facilities not ordinarily supported by government, which enrich the lives of Anaheim residents. Your contribution will be used to maintain, enhance, or expand a wide variety of programs that greatly benefit the Anaheim community. Furthermore, every dollar donated will go directly to program operation. The Anaheim Community Foundation, with the help of concerned and caring donors like you, is building a better tomorrow. Specific programs supported by the Anaheim Community Foundation are:

ARTS AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS |
Arts and Culture, Seniors - The Anaheim Senior Citizens Performing Groups provide a mix of song, dance, and comedy for Anaheim audiences, including hospitals, nursing homes, and senior resident homes.
Arts and Culture, Youth - An opportunity to experience music, art, dance, and drama is afforded to all local children by these community arts for youth programs.
Pearson Park Amphitheatre - The 2,000-seat Amphitheatre offers reasonably priced opportunities for families to experience children's shows, musicals, dance, chorale, symphony and rock concerts.

Annual Environmental Faire - This fall event, complete with educational exhibits and live stage entertainment, provides a positive family outing that encourages environmental responsibility.
Oak Canyon Nature Center - Nestled in Anaheim Hills, this 58 acre natural park provides miles of hiking trails and various interactive nature exhibits in the John J. Collier Interpretive Center. Thousands of area families enjoy a wide variety of nature classes, workshops, tours, and exhibits every year at this "little bit of wilderness" in Anaheim.
Community Tree Program - Utilizing volunteer efforts, this dedicated group plants, protects and preserves trees in Anaheim making a positive contribution to the health of our local environment. |

Bookmobile - The Library helps to provide outreach to neighborhoods and schools through the Bookmobile.
Library Collections and Services - The Library strives to expand library collections and services to benefit the Anaheim business community, senior citizens, and children.

Senior Citizen Programs - A wide variety of recreational activities, classes, special events, and vital social services are offered for Anaheim seniors at two Senior Citizens Centers.
Senior Emergency Assistance Fund - This fund provides one-time financial support to Anaheim senior citizens in need through food vouchers, bus passes, utility bill payments, as well as support for other basic necessities.
Southland Senior Olympics - Seniors stay fit and healthy participating in local and regional Senior Olympic events. Scholarships are made available for low-income seniors to participate in individual and/or team events. |

Special Olympics training and musical theatre classes are just a few of the many activities offered. These activities provide persons with disabilities the opportunity to develop self-esteem and to participate in the recreational and social activities in a success oriented atmosphere. |

Downtown Youth Center - The Youth Center offers sports, recreation, social events, educational opportunities, camping trips, field trips, and a homework center with computers and tutoring. An Outreach Worker is available to assist young people with resolving issues and conflicts at school, home, and in the community. Youth development and youth leadership activities are offered in addition to joint programming in partnership with the Anaheim Police Athletic League and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Anaheim. Scholarships are available; no one is turned away for inability to pay.
Early Childhood Development - Anaheim's "Tiny Tots" is a program that enriches preschooler's lives by providing activities which enhance social growth, self-esteem, and basic academic skills.
Youth Programs - A variety of recreation programs is offered to youth including year-round youth sports, after-school activities, day camps, art in the park mobile program, and several special events.
Youth Development Program (ages 5-12) - "Kids in Action" is an after-school program providing non-traditional recreation, arts and crafts, sports, and outreach to elementary school-age youth at various locations throughout the City. Using the youth development framework, the Kids in Action program helps young people build self-esteem and competencies in the areas of cognitive, social, physical, emotional, and character development. The program also incorporates community service activities, field trips, and cultural events.
Youth Development Program (ages 13-18) - Project SAY (Support Anaheim's Youth) uses a combination of outreach, recreation, and sports activities to encourage the participation of junior high and high school age youth in positive and constructive activities. Community Services Outreach Specialists involve young people on an individual and small group basis in social, recreational, and educational activities that help them develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful as adults. Skills are developed in the areas of conflict resolution, problem solving, job readiness, and leadership. Activities include sports, camping, field trips, and cultural events.
Kids for Parks - Third graders learn first-hand about community stewardship and nature appreciation by adopting a park. Activities, such as painting trash cans and planting flowers are used to encourage respect for our environment and public parks, while discouraging vandalism and graffiti.
VolunTEENS - Each year, approximately 150 area teens experience an unforgettable summer volunteering to assist in Community Services Department programs. Leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and job skills are learned along with having a lot of fun. VolunTEENS receive T shirts, recognition at the annual picnic, and are eligible to compete for financial scholarships.
Youth in Government Day - This valued tradition in Anaheim offers high school students the opportunity to "run" the City for this special and enlightening day.
Youth Scholarship Fund - The fund provides financial assistance to disadvantaged children enabling them to participate in the many positive activities offered by the Anaheim Community Services Department.
Motel Recreation Outreach - The mobile recreation unit visits the El Dorado Inn twice a week to provide youth and their families after school activities such as games, sports, snacks, arts and crafts, seasonal celebrations, and excursions.
Grand Slam Tennis Program - Proceeds from the annual Junior Tennis Championships help support, in part, the Grand Slam tennis instruction program serving youth in the Kids in Action program. |

Emergency Assistance Fund - Often the last resort, Emergency Assistance can help low-income Anaheim residents with one-time payment of utility bills and also by providing much needed food and gas transportation vouchers.
Endowment Fund - Individuals are able to support ACF Programs of their choice through the newly established Endowment Fund.
Helping Hands - Anaheim residents are able to make a donation along with their total utility bill in support of the Foundation's Helping Hands Assistance and Grant Program.
Volunteer Recognition - Anaheim proudly salutes the efforts of 800 volunteers along with 200 businesses and service organizations that help make Anaheim a better place in which to live, work, and play.
General - The Anaheim Community Foundation will distribute funds based on current priority needs of sponsored programs. |
